• Effectively removes contaminants post-flashover
  • Restores electrical equipment to efficiency post flashover
  • Non-conductive and moisture free process
  • Non-abrasive

Flashovers can occur in electrical equipment due to a build up of contaminants, such as dust, grime and product. This can result in catastrophic failure and significant production downtime. For this reason, it is important to look at preventative measures to ensure that flashover does not occur.

However, in the unfortunate event of a flashover occurring, replacement of equipment is not the only option. Dry Ice Cleaning removes contaminants created during flashover from the equipment, restoring the distribution boards and switchgear back to efficiency. Cleaning with Dry Ice rather than replacing equipment reduces financial costs significantly.

Post-flashover switchgear, before Dry Ice Cleaning.

Dry Ice Cleaning is particularly suited for this application. The process is non-conductive and moisture free, and therefore ideal and safe for use on sensitive electrical components.

Our Dry Ice pellets are small enough to dust off contaminants from sensitive equipment. The small size of the pellets allow access to areas which would otherwise be difficult to reach. The non-abrasive quality ensures that this occurs without causing damage to delicate or sensitive electrical components, even post flashover.

The Dry Ice Cleaning process does not produce a secondary waste stream. This minimises disposal costs, time spent on clean-up and financial costs associated with
